World Liver Day 2022

World Liver Day is observed on the 19th of April every year to spread awareness about liver health. The liver is a vital organ of the body which helps to flush out the unwanted toxins from the body. It is the second-largest part of the body and is less complex than the brain. It is said that it performs almost 500 body functions and holds 13 percent of the total blood supply. Interestingly, a liver can regrow to normal size even after up to 90% of it has been removed. However, this doesn’t mean that we continue to burden its functioning by the excess consumption of alcohol or drugs. addictions like these cause the most effect on the liver.
