Criminal Procedure (Identification) Bill 2022- Current Affairs 2022

The Criminal Procedure (Identification) Bill, 2022 was introduced in the Lok Sabha by Minister of State in Home Affairs Ministry Ajay Mishra Teni on March 28, 2022. The bill was presented during the ongoing second alf of the Budget Session of the Parliament. 

The new bill will allow the police to take measurements of all convicts and other detained persons to preserve records for the purpose of their identification.
