Admission to PhD Programme 2020 | The Assam Kaziranga University

Applications are invited for admission to Ph.D. programs 2020 in the following disciplines: Computer Science and Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Civil Engineering/Electronics and Communication Engineering/ Management (Finance/Marketing/HR/Economics)/Chemistry/ Physics/ Mathematics/Sociology/Social Work/Social Sciences.

Eligibility Qualifications:

A Master’s degree in Technology/ Engineering/ Management/ or equivalent, with a minimum of 60% marks/(55% in case of Full-Time Sponsored candidates with a minimum of three years professional experience, and SC/ST candidates) at Master’s level or a Master’s Degree in Science/Humanities with a minimum of 55% marks (50% in case of Full-Time Sponsored candidates with a minimum of three years professional experience, and SC/ST candidates).

Application Procedure:

Interested and eligible candidates can apply by submitting the duly filled prescribed application form which can be downloaded from the website www.kazirangauniversity.in and submitting application fees of Rs.2000/- in Cash/Online / DD favoring “North Eastern Knowledge Foundation” payable at Jorhat, Assam. The application form along with the fees receipt copy should be submitted/sent to The Dean, Research, The Assam Kaziranga University, Koraikhowa, NH 37, Jorhat-758006, Assam.

Selection:

Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in KUEST conducted by the University followed by personal interviews. Candidates who have cleared NET-JRF/LS of CSIR-UGC/GATE/ M.Phil cleared in the last 2 years in the relevant subject shall be exempted from KUEST. They will however require to appear for the Personal Interview.

The Prescribed Fees for Ph.D. Programmes is as following

Admission Fes: Rs 20,000/-

Caution Deposit: Rs.10,000/- (Refundable)

Thesis fees: Rs.10,000/- (at the time of submission of thesis)

Academic Fee:

1.a. Rs. 50,000/- per semester (For Engineering &Technology, Physics and Chemistry)

  1. Rs. 35,000/- per semester (For Engineering &Technology, Physics and Chemistry candidates having 75% marks throughout his/her career Or NET/GATE qualified in last two year)

2.a. Rs. 30,000/-per semester (for others streams)

  1. Rs. 25,000/- per semester (for other category candidates having 60% marks throughout his/her career or NET qualified in last two years)
